Peter began his tax career in 1984 with H&R Block in Winona, MN, completing seven major tax courses by 1986. During 1985–1986, he worked as a tax preparer in the Rochester District Office while finishing his degree at Saint Mary’s College in Winona. In 1986, he passed the IRS Enrolled Agent exam, earning the highest credential the IRS awards. Enrolled Agents must meet strict ethical standards and complete 72 hours of continuing education every three years. Like CPAs and attorneys, Enrolled Agents have unlimited practice rights, allowing full representation of taxpayers in all matters before the IRS.
That same year, Peter joined the Saint Paul District Office in Roseville, where he prepared and reviewed more than 5,000 returns annually for the 1987 and 1988 tax seasons. In 1988, he opened his private practice, and today he prepares over 900 returns annually. In 2024, we formally adopted our business name, Taxes At Your Table.
This marks his 41st tax season serving clients with professionalism, accuracy, and a commitment to achieving the lowest legal tax liability.

Jason has 6 years of tax experience and 15 years in the corporate environment with responsibilities over areas of accounting such as revenue, expenses and profit\loss analysis. His success as a tax preparer is built on understanding his clients, their tax needs, establishing relationships, and successfully navigating the tax laws and their applications. Jason participates in the IRS Annual Filing Season Program (AFSP). The Annual Filing Season Program aims to recognize the efforts of return preparers who aspire to a higher level of professionalism. Those who participate meet the requirements by obtaining 18 hours of continuing education, including a six-hour federal tax law refresher course with exam. The return preparer must also renew their preparer tax identification number (PTIN) for the upcoming year and consent to adhere to the ethical obligations in Circular 230, Subpart B and section 10.51. Jason reflects a high level of standard with our team.
“The IRS Annual Filing Season Program is a voluntary professional education program. By completing it each year, I refresh my knowledge of the latest tax law changes, prove my commitment to accuracy, and earn an official Record of Completion from the IRS. This recognition sets me apart from unenrolled preparers and shows that I take extra steps to stay current and credible.”
